    What you'll need to operate

    These are a must for running a food truck in Northeast Ohio. Members upload them once and we keep them on file for fire marshals and health inspectors.

    State of OH sales tax licenseRegister with the state to collect and remit sales tax on food sales before you start selling.
    Proof of insuranceGeneral liability insurance is required by most events and municipalities. Many events ask to be listed as additionally insured.
    Fire inspection and certificationAnnual fire safety inspection of your truck's cooking, propane and suppression equipment by the local fire department.
    Health food service licenseMobile food unit license from your county health department, renewed each year.
    City business licenseRegister with the City of Cleveland and any other cities you plan to operate in. This should be your final step.
